Strengthening Oral Health in the U.S. through Integration and Workforce Development: Lessons from State and Federal Health Officials

States are not required to include dental services for adults in their Medicaid programs, so whether low-income individuals can access dental care often depends on where they live. This blog discusses how, given gaps in access to dental insurance and providers, state health policy is an important area for achieving oral health equity.
