States Address Students’ Transition Back to School

This chart shows the states that are implementing statewide mask mandates in schools, as well as those that are prohibiting mask and vaccine mandates. As of August 6, 2021, the CDC has recommended that all children 12 years and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and that all students wear masks in schools regardless of vaccination status.
