State Cross-Agency Collaboration During the COVID-19 Pandemic Response

This brief analyzes how three state governments (Illinois, Indiana, and Rhode Island) worked across agencies to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The brief reviews the role of leadership from governors; best practices for engaging partners; the need for effective data systems; approaches for using new and existing technology; and strategies for leveraging new and existing funds, and centering equity.
