Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association Enrollee Survey: Assessing the Results
State Health Access Data Assistance Network – Elizabeth Lukanen, Heather Dahlen, Lynn A. Blewett, and Kathleen T. Call
The State Health Access Data Assistance Network (SHADAC) at the University of Minnesota prepared this chartbook summarizing the findings of the 2012 Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association (MCHA) Enrollee Survey. MCHA is Minnesota’s high risk pool. The charts in this report are designed to provide a high level overview of the overall MCHA population and more detailed breakdowns of subpopulations based on income level, geographic residence, and plan deductible. The figures in this report were created to present a more complete picture of the characteristics of the MCHA population and to aid program administrators in outreach efforts as MCHA enrollees transition into other insurance vehicles. This resource can help inform state officials struggling with high risk pool transitions by identifying methods and metrics for researching high risk pool population characteristics.
